被问到皮尔斯、麦迪和杜兰特这三人谁首发、谁替补、交易谁时，普林斯表示：“当KD达到巅峰时，我已经老了，当我被交易到灰熊时我33岁了，我在季后赛还要防守他。我会首发KD、替补皮尔斯，我爱麦迪，我会交易麦迪。我甚至和麦迪还当过队友，我接受的第一个检验就是在季后赛防他，他在魔术时砍下40分。”
